The inlay work is done by artisans by hand in rural India and they are descendants of those families who built the Taj Mahal in the 17th century. The Taj Mahal is a monument of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This work is the signature style of the Taj Mahal and can be seen on the walls of the Taj. As the work in very delicate and intricate it takes an artisan a number of days to complete a piece. The Marble used to make the table is a high quality marble sourced from Makhrana in Rajasthan. The marble is carved and then filled with mother of pearl inlays. This marble does not get stained by anything, even coffee and wine. It has a unique quality of becoming translucent when lit from within / beneath.
